How to join
It all happens inside the app. There is no form to fill in on this website.

Download Rada and create an account
Android or iPhone. Use the phone number and email you actually check, because that is where your approval goes.

Open Profile → Premium
Tap the Driver promo card at the top of the Premium screen.

Send us three things
The form opens already filled in. Add your number plate, your SACCO or platform (Uber, Bolt, Little, Yego, Faras) and the routes you usually drive, then tap send.

We email you back
We review requests every Wednesday. You will get an email either way: one confirming your Premium is on, or one asking for any details we still need from you. Once approved, Premium switches on by itself, so there is nothing else to install or pay.
Keeping it after three months
Renewal is automatic for drivers who are actually reporting. Two conditions, both simple.

About one per working day. Reports count when they are at least ten minutes apart and 300 metres from your last one, so a single long jam is one report, not twenty.

Other drivers vote on whether a report was right. Keep the balance positive and you renew. This is what keeps the feed worth reading.
One grant per vehicle. If you stop reporting, Premium just ends quietly at the three-month mark and your account continues as a free account, with your routes and your history intact.
Driver questions
Any driver who is on Nairobi roads most days. Ride-hailing drivers on Uber, Bolt, Little, Yego and Faras are the core of the programme, because they cover more roads in a day than anyone else. Matatu drivers and conductors are just as welcome: you run the same routes every day and you see a jam building long before the cars behind you do. A conductor is also the safest reporter on the road, because the driver never has to touch a phone. If you drive for a company, a SACCO or a delivery fleet, get in touch and we will look at it.
Three months from the day we approve you. Premium is normally KES 250 a month, so a grant is worth KES 750. Near the end of the three months we check your reporting, and active drivers are renewed.
Report at least 20 incidents a month, and keep more upvotes than downvotes on what you post. That is roughly one report per working day. Accuracy matters more than volume: reports that other drivers downvote as wrong will not count in your favour.
An accident, roadwork, a closure, a hazard, congestion or roadside activity that you actually saw, pinned at the place you saw it. Repeat reports of the same jam do not count, because we only count reports made at least ten minutes apart and at least 300 metres from your previous one.
No. There is no joining fee, no deposit and no commission. Rada does not pay drivers for reports either, so nobody has a reason to invent one. You get the Premium features free in exchange for the reports.
Only to make sure one vehicle gets one grant. It is not shown in the app, it is not published anywhere, and it is not shared with Uber, Bolt or any other platform. Your reports appear under your Rada display name, never your plate.
Only if you do it properly. Report when you are stopped, or ask your passenger to do it for you. Never tap your phone while the car is moving. A driver who reports while driving is a danger to everyone on the road, and no Premium account is worth that.
Nothing bad. Your Premium simply ends when the three months are up and your account carries on as a normal free account. Your saved routes and your history stay exactly where they are.
